Being a Gardener for Christ

    “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew
28:19-29. That verse is what Christ told his disciples to do before He went up to heaven,
but He wasn’t telling only the twelve disciples to do that. He wants us (all Christians) to do the same. So this school year, my Do Hard Things goal is to witness to more people.

      Sharing salvation with people requires stepping out of you comfort zone.
It is not easy to talk to someone about Christ, whether they are your friend or not. All those thoughts racing through your mind such as: will they laugh at me, what if they don’t want to listen, or what if they have questions and I don’t have answers. Well sometimes some of those things might happen, but God has commanded us to share his word. We need to trust Him and take that leap of faith, because if we do, really good things can happen.

      Witnessing to someone can be kind of scary, and sometimes people don’t want to
listen. Some people will not listen, but others will! When we feel the Holy Spirit
telling us to do something, it probably would be easier just not to do it. If we don’t listen
and just ignore it, we are missing out on great opportunities. Just think, if you stepped
outside your comfort zone and talked to someone about Christ, you could be part of
saving them from hell.
