Booz Allen Hamilton And Kla-Tencor

I choose the number one ranked company, Booz Allen Hamilton, and number nine ranked company KLA-Tencor. I will answer why these companies are in the top ten as well as explain the relationship between training and the competiveness, business goals and objectives. I thought it would be interesting to see what the differences are between the top of the list and the bottom. Since I already reported on General Mills (number 10), I will report on numbers 1 and 9.
KLA-Tencor‘s training and development programs contribute to individual and professional growth, as well as the success of the business. Like any other business you invest in your company’s future by investing in your employees and it is companies like KLA-Tencor that understand that, and it shows in their success.
Their vision is to be a knowledge management organization. They strive to provide access to learning and knowledge that enable employees to not only be productive but to advance in their career (forbes.com). Key programs that KLA-Tencor uses to train and develop good employees include curriculum and classes to help you plan and train for your specific career paths, planning services to assist in selecting the best education program to reach your development goals. As well as an information resource center, a tuition reimbursement program, education awards including monetary awards for completing degrees and certificate programs and scholarship programs, which surprised me. KLA-Tencor even provides financial support for the children of employee's who continue their education after high school; although Booz Allen has a better program all around for employees they do not however offer this benefit (kla-tencor.com).
