Question:Compare and contrast the bureaucratic organization with non-bureaucratic organization.
Introduction
IDEO is an organization that(change to ‘which’) believes that there (should it be ’they’?) should not have a hierarchy too rigid, in order to promote an innovative culture because the boss may not be the person who knows the product best. (can start a new sentence: The underlying mindset is agreed amongst all: the boss does not know everything and so, challenges are constantly encouraged) IDEO also believes that one should have an open mind and that innovative and fresh ideas come faster(change to are generated faster)in a fun and interactive environment. It is quite different from how an ideal type of bureaucratic organization functions. Our group will now compare the similarities and differences (repetitive.. change to “do a comparison”) between an ideal type of bureaucratic organization and that of IDEO.

Hierarchy of authority
As the boss of IDEO, Dave (can use his surname instead?i forgot what isit ), puts it, there is “no hierarchy” in the company and everyone appears to be on equal ground with no distinctive formal working titles. In contrast, the organization of offices in a bureaucratic organization follows the principle of hierarchy with each lower office controlled and supervised by a higher one.
However, our group observes that IEDO has an informal hierarchy of authority in place when it comes to projects.
