There are four basic managerial functions. Planning, organizing, leading, and controling. These functions are very essential in building stronger organizations and more effective teams. These funtions are applied to human, financial, physical, and information resources, with the ultimate purpose of attaining organizational goals efficiently and effectively. These basis functions portray major importance in the role of businesses today.
Planning is the first managerial function, it is the process of identifying goals, objectives, and resources needed to carry out methods.
In the workplace, planning can be very beneficial to managers as well as employees to help carry out new ideas and plans to make the business run more prominently.
In the workplace of my tax preparation office, planning is used on a daily basis to make sure employees know how to handle customer questions or concerns. Planning is also used to set approplriate goals, and analyzing how one is to carry out the specific goal. Each week a goal is set and planned for each tax preparer to gain a certain amount of customers, and in the end the tax preparer that has exceeded the amount is rewarded. The goal was carefully planned and carried out in an appropriate optimum fashion.
