Executive summary
This report focuses on a company I-net global website hosting venture that supports their clients to adapt with the intense competitive force, which is currently facing its core businesses today. The key areas covered in the proposal includes: the organisation’s background, as a scene setter; project’s main objectives and strategic importance to the organisation; initial cost outlay and life span of the project; major millstones; and anticipated problems associated with the project execution like: end- users’ resistance, cost overruns, quality of outsourced services and progress assessment. It defines the results to be achieved in specific tangible and measurable terms. The project scope checklist comprises: project objectives-both short term and long term; major deliverables and master milestone schedules, detailed systematically the specific duration of each milestone event from start to finish; technical requirements of the system, particularly in the areas of processing, storage, interface subsystems and compatibility of hardware and software. The dedicated project team was chosen because it is simple to run, response time tends to be quicker because most decisions are made within the team and are not deferred up the hierarchy. As an IT project, it is driven by performance requirements. Overall the project will ensure cost reduction in the firm’s operations; improve organisational efficiency; enhance productivity and profitability and guarantee customers’ delight.
