Udupi based Swarna Jewellers is a Rs.
55 Crores turnover company with a rich
legacy of 67 years in jewellery business
behind it. A vast experience in Jewellery
Trade and Manufacturing, and keeping
abreast of technological advances has
enabled them to become a name to
reckon with in the south canara jewellery
industry.
The Swarna Story
Established in 1963 by Gujjadi Narasimha
Nayak, G N Nayak & Sons later came to
be known as Swarna with the opening
of a modern showroom of diamonds
and gold in Udupi. Swarna Jewellers
now has a State level presence with their
showrooms in different cities i.e. at Udupi,
Bangalore and Hubli.
Swarnodyama, the manufacturing
wing of Swarna Jewellers, came into
existence in 1983. Apart from providing a
workshop and workspace for the existing
goldsmiths to work, Swarnodyama was
a place where more than 200 artisans
worked together independently. Later, it
expanded to include a training institute
to teach the art of ornament making to
both boys and girls of all community.
In January 2005, Swarna set up a trust
named “Swarna Abharan Education
