Introduction

The assignment will provide analysis to formulate an appraisal of the requirements for the introduction of a business system and to identify some of the managerial concerns. Student Identification system within University of Southampton is the focal area of this assessment. What is the Identification System?

The Identification System is a multi-functional tool used to identify stakeholders within the University of Southampton; this system is the main security system in the University and in concurrence with an authentication mechanism ensures confidentiality of users’ personal information. The system is managed by an internal project group. The Identification System provides internal and external stakeholders a unique identification number that gives them access to many facilities within the University. (Appendix B1) [1]
