Muscat College Case Study
The college was established in 1997, and it currently has around 700 students and needs to expand with more departments and students.
After analyzing the various objectives of the college, the current problems and the demand in the market for the new specializations, I have made some necessary proposals to help overcome the problems and reach the desired goals and objectives outlined.
There is a demand in the job market to recruit students with Bachelors in Honors degree from reputed Colleges in ministries and in private sectors. The areas of specializations are Networking and Management.
Strategic decisions are as follows for introducing the two departments in the college:
- Affliation with Bath University which is in the UK for 5 years for the Managemnt course. The college management should visit the university in person so that they get a better view of the teaching methods of the college.
- Affiliation with University of Luitton which is in the UK as well for 5 years for the Networking course.
- Infrastructure : Construction of a new building for the two new departments which are networking and management, since our current infrasturcute will not be enough to fit in the students.
- We require 3 fully equipped computer labs which include 20 computers, a laser printer and a high resolution projector.
- Fiften classrooms with student desks and comfortable chairs.
- Central AC system.
- A contract with Omantel for ADSL , CPS and Wifi services with networking around the college. ADSL enables the student to have simultaneous online tasks and can send and receive large files. Features of the CPS:
1. Is the world's largest Managed Data Network
2. More protocol conversion ...
