1. Introduction.
1.1. Scope of the research paper.
Main purpose of this research paper is to critically analyze implications of one of the contemporary management practice implemented in the selected organization. This research paper starts with a brief explanation on the organization and its industry. Further this discusses the potential improvements to the existing processes and how such contemporary practices could be successful in achieving organizational goals.
1.2 Introduction to the topic
In today’s ever changing world, the only thing that doesn’t change is “Change” itself. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is the contemporary management practice which will be discussed in this research paper.
1.3 Limitations
Researchers were faced with number of constraints, among which one of the main can be identified as, the lesser information provided by the selected company. Processes are currently invisible and unnamed because people think about the individual departments more often than the process with which all off them are involved. Unavailability of bench marks is also a major issue since bench mark is the starting point of BPR. Some of the BPR results are not measurable and lack of comparative information to assess its’ performance.
