The optional criteria I choose to include in my final project as follows:
• Hazard alerts:
I chose this criteria because it is important to know the hazards of operating a
laptop computer, which is what manual I choose to write about because there are many hazards such as, turning off the unit before cleaning or servicing, and radio frequency emissions that could cause interference with other electronic equipment.
• Table of contents:
This I believe is very important when a user is reading a user’s manual because, this makes it easier for me or another user to quickly find information. For example, I used the table of contents to find hazards or proper care of my laptop computer.
• Technical descriptions:
This is important because, when reading the manual on what the battery release latch is and how to use it to remove the battery. A technical writer must include a picture showing the location, how to use the battery release latch, in order to successfully remove the laptop’s battery.
