As you are aware, effective communication skills are a necessity for any business to thrive. Our company expects its employees to possess these skills, and have the knowledge on how to implement them properly. Unfortunately, some of our employees lack in areas of communication appropriate to our business environment. Our goal is to show professionalism and uniformity in all areas of communication pertinent to our business. I believe our company, along with the individual employees, would benefit from a series of seminars designed to improve communication skills.

Poor Communication Skills and How it Affects Business

A business that employs individuals with poor communication skills tends to look unprofessional and often runs ineffectively. A business may lose some goodwill if a poor or incomplete business letter circulates. Day to day business operations can lag due to ineffective and confusing communication. Our employees are skilled and educated; however, improvement in their communication abilities would strengthen their skills and increase business productivity. Our office could improve its business conversation skills, interpersonal skills, conflict management, and most importantly, business writing and grammar. Conversation skills are important in order to get your point across. This can be difficult if the message seems unorganized and unfocused. Many times the receiver of a message has to be in mind-reading mode due to the unclear message. Conflict management is another area where employees lack proper communication skills.
