“Deity” is primarily accessed through rituals, metaphors, symbols, and psychological experiences. One criticism of the idea of “deity” is that it is not objectively “provable.”
 Do you think the presence of universal symbols, metaphors, and experiences “proves” the existence of “deity” even if it's not through scientific method? Explain why or why not.

    No, I don’t believe that symbols, metaphors or experiences prove the existence of deity at all. When a skeptic looks at the concept of religion, or faith as a whole, they immediately point out the fact that the pillars of belief are based on feelings, not fact. Therefore, by saying a universal icon or representation would further strengthen the argument in the favor of deity is really just helping in the case of the doubter. When someone truly believes in their faith, they devote a huge part of their heart and emotions and psychological being to that conviction. To say that they have had an ‘experience’ in which the felt a higher power can be disassembled by pointing out the power of the mind. Researchers discuss how the human body is made up of chemical energy. The laws of attraction state ‘like attracts like’. If we constantly radiate an energy that is devoted to finding God, in return we will receive an energy of God. Religious people may say that this is the Higher Power in its truest form, answering our call. Nonbelievers will say that this is our mind playing tricks on us, providing us with the answers that we wish to hear. If one constantly walks around thinking, ‘I will feel God,’ or if they think, ‘I already feel God and he is with me constantly,’ then that’s the type of experiences life will bring them.
