In knowledge, science and religion are two areas that contradict one another both influencing a person’s belief on a certain aspect of their life. As we develop and mature we experience stages in life that is bound to give us wisdom and knowledge, an outside force creates those influences. Whether it be our parents, the media, our school systems-our ideas are truly not our own. Science gives us an outlet to believe facts and logic, to give us prove through our senses. Religion gives us a belief that there are far greater things in life than the physical realm, far greater things than our senses is able to witness.
Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to. It is very difficult to choose one over the other because one is based on fact and logic while the other is built on faith and hope. That's exactly what the Creation theory is, beliefs in a superior supernatural being whereas Science uses theory in logic and precision. It is difficult to judge two uniquely difficult theories because both do not hold the answers, they are merely a description of the type of person we are, and what morals and priorities we have within. Someone who is atheist for example will believe in the scientific version; whereas someone who has had a bad life may hold onto their hope for a being that will one day make the world better for them, this creature being God, and hence they will trust the theory of religion.
Some of us hold on to facts to provide us with the truth, that we are living a life of conformity. Some hold on to faith to believe that a glimpse of hope can get us through each day.
