Definition of E-commerce
E-commerce (or electronic commerce) is any business transaction whose price & essential terms ,if any, were negotiated over an online system such as an Internet, Extranet, Electronic Data Interchange network, or e-mail system. It does not include transactions done through facsimile machine or a telephone network, or payments made online for transactions whose terms were decided.
Electronic Commerce is the trade of services and products by means of the Internet or other computer networks.
 E-commerce follows the same principles as traditional commerce which is that people both buyers and sellers come together to exchange commodities goods for money. But rather than conducting business in the traditional way in shopping stores or through mail order catalogs and telephone operators — in e-commerce buyers and sellers transact business over networked computers. The ecommerce also refer to (EDI) electronic data interchange, in which one company's computer queries and transmits purchase orders to another company's computer automatically.

E-commerce can be divided into:
