EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Edge Technologies LLP (EDGE), which is founded in April 2007, aims to reduce road hazards to enhance road safety and cost efficiency through immense dedication to creativity. The company is led by a committed management team consisting of six members of which majority of them have, at one point in their career, undertaken government projects or worked at comparable levels in Multi-National Corporations.
Singapore is the world’s top bunkering port with over 200 shipping lines calling at our terminals, connecting Singapore to over 600 ports in 123 countries. There is also a significant increase of 14.5% in throughput volume of containers handled in 2007. Currently there are 39,597 heavy goods vehicles in Singapore, and these vehicles have accounted for 880 accidents annually. Since EDGE’s products are integrated with convenience and safety in mind, the company is aligned to the market needs of Singapore, where public concern for road safety has been raised due to higher standards of living. In addition, the Singapore government has been actively campaigning for road safety, while at the same time developing the country into a global logistics hub.
EDGE’s groundbreaking products, namely the FlexureAlert?, RangeWatch? and IntegratedEye?, are to aid truck drivers in reversing when parking their vehicles, through a real-time angle display between the truck and trailer. Major benefits of the product include:
