Review Exercise

              1) Since you are traveling on company time, does the free ticket belong to you or the company? Defend you answer. The ticket should belong to the company. I would have no right to give up my seat except to take a later flight and to land at my destination.
              2) If the later flight was actually the next day (and the airline offered you an accommodation voucher along with the meal vouchers) and you would be late getting into work, would you make the same choice? If I was not able to make it to my destination till the next day I believe I would accept the accommodations and food voucher without any hesitation.
              3) What if the offer only reached a $100 discount coupon on anther ticket-would you still take it? If so, would you hold the same opinion about whether the coupon belonged to you or your company? Yes I would still take it because by all rights the ticket still belongs to the company. So knowing that the ticket belongs to the company and they are the ones that sent me on this trip I believe they would want me to take the ticket.
              4) Should your company offer a clearly stated policy on this issue or should they trust their employees to do the right thing? Yes I believe that the company should have a stated policy for this issue. Because you can’t trust employees to do the right thing.
