    In this weeks individual assignment the student is asked to prepare a 350-700 word paper on the topic of "Ethics in accounting and financial decision making". In this paper student will have an opportunity to choose an article on “Ethics in accounting” to give a quick summary of the article. The student will also relate this article to the assigned readings for this week. student will discuss how the article concepts relate and apply to the current or former organization.  Student will make recommendations for improvement for the organization based on the article and explain the importance of ethics in accounting and financial decision making.
    Financial accounting statements in companies is a highly monitored area. This has happened mostly because of the bad financial decisions were made in some large organizations though out the United States. Quite a few large companies and their accounting departments were faced with the fact of  fudging the balance sheets and financial statements numbers and when companies went under it caused hundreds of employees to lose all their savings.
    The article that was chosen by the student for this paper is called "Corporate accounting could use a cleanup” by Tim Graig. The author of the article starts off by saying that nowadays newspapers are full of reports and headlines of inflated earnings and overpriced sticks with in the US public companies and that these public companies are facing tough financial and economic times.
