The article presents the views of author on the differences between individual and corporate ethics. After encountering a dying pilgrim on a climbing trip in the Himalayas, the author pondered on the differences between individual and corporate ethics. Managers must come and what they allow to influence their decision-making processes. Some organizations do have a value system that transcends the personal values of the managers. Such values, which go beyond profitability, are usually revealed when the organization is under stress. Business ethics, then, has to do with the authenticity and integrity of the enterprise. To be ethical is to follow the business as well as the cultural goals of the corporation, its owners, its employees, and its customers.The article presents the views of author on the differences between individual and corporate ethics.
