External Effect On Workplace Heath And Saftey

To start off the analysis, I think it is important to separate each aspect in to two separate categories. Not saying  that both aspects, emotional and physical that is, cannot and do not co-exist, as there are plenty of example in which they have and do; but rather it should be noted that each may exist independently. The emotional analysis: Intelligent beings (in this case, humans) can be, although not necessarily influenced emotionally to perform well, not well, or simply, on par. The level of influence is determined first and foremost by a precedence of obligation -- that precedence being the underlying incentive in which the determination, or lack, thereof, given in a work environment is derived.
Example, a worker may have considerable emotional duress from which he suffers, either due to the home and/or work environment. His performance in the work environment and his ability to maintain relationships that help him to maintain and/or potentially increase his longevity, wages and/or level of importance to his work environment may be determined by a precedence that of which would be his emotional obligation towards his wife, children, parents and/or dependents. In the above example, the emotional sense of obligation to dependents outweighs the emotional stresses felt from financial difficulties, harsh working conditions, such as excessive heat in the factory. Even with the stresses, the man is performs his job better than anyone else due to the precedence of the varying emotional states that he is burdened with. For the single man, with no obligations to anyone but himself and living at home, the emotional precedence that he carries towards obligation makes his effectiveness less likely, regardless of his emotional state.
