Fortune; A myth or reality

People say, "Fortune comes once in a while". There is also a philosophy that fortune comes many times but a man is so busy in looking the closed doors that he even do not see the open doors. Which way is true, God knows better. whether a man have bad luck, misfortune or some kind of evil spirit that he is said to move over a river , sea or ocean to remove that bad spirit or it is just a believe and nothing to do with reality.
As in Indian/ HINDU mythology, any man can become Indara, if he does sacrifice one hundred horses. But it said that men tried to sacrifice so but Indara stole the horses and men failed. It is the example of failing after a struggle, whether it happened or it’s a myth, time decides better about it.
Similarly, in Hindu mythology the story of NALA-DAMATIE is considered to be fortunate for the listener, writer, reader and story teller. In that story, a prince NALA went on a soimber (a fight to win the princesses for marriage) with many gods like Indara, Agni as a competitor. These gods made Nala to praise them in front of Damatie. He did so but Damatie still choosed Nala as husband. Kali (a god in Hindu mythology) got angry at this and penetrated into Nala and made him play cards. In the game, he lost all his wealth, kingdom by his brother. The king left with the queen in such a way that they had only one cloth to cover both bodies from nakedness.
The jungle Nala left his wife by cutting the cloth into two by a sword. By some struggle the queen reached a near by kingdom and started working in a palace as a head servant under queen. Nala became a cart driver of a king of a near by state. He got the knowledge of cards from that king and Kali left his body. Nala again  had a game with his brother and retain ...
