Function of Management

Manager plays one of the most important roll in companies helping to achieve organizations' goals. Most of the managers try to do the best to do the job effectively, but not always do it successfully. The main reason is that the managers are not well prepared to do the job. The managers know that they manage people to complete deadlines or to achieve goals. But the businesses are changing everyday and we need to keep in mind the functions of management. These functions are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling and must be added to any corporation to achieve the goals. Planning
Planning is one of the four factions of management. This function consists in planning corporation goals and how to work with problems to achieve them. In the same time how manage the employees to accomplish the goals. For example in my work place the fist week of every year the owner and all the managers have a meeting. This meeting is consists of review all the reports of the last year and compare with past years. After we review the reports the owner establish the goals for the current year.
The managers discuss about the new goals, sales quotes, and how to achieve them. The meeting ends when all the managers and the owner agree with the plan for the year. During the year we have a meeting every three weeks to see what is working and what not and make the necessary changes to achieve the goals. The function of planning has been helping this corporation for the last 10 years. Organizing
