    All people today have different reasons for working. Some reasons for working are to pay bills or just to get a few extra bucks. However, we all work because we obtain something that we need from work. The something obtained from work impacts our morale, our employee motivation, and the quality of life. In order to create positive employee motivation, Riordan Manufacturing needs to treat their employees as if they matter.
Riordan Manufacturing is an international producer of plastic with at least 550 employees and projected earnings of $46 million. Riordan Manufacturing is entirely owned by Riordan Industries - a Fortune 1000 company with $1 billion in excess revenue.  With facilities in California, Georgia and Hangzhou, China, Riordan is well equipped to perform any duties.  Recently, due to declining sales and uneven profit Riordan had to make some strategic changes in the manufacturing and marketing of products. They also had to adopt a customer-relationship management system (CRM).

Managers must be able to motivate their employees in order to get work done.
