Gatorade Marketing

de is a very well known company and product that is used by a lot of people. It is one of the biggest drinks out there for athletes to drink and is seen as an energy booster. Gatorade was created by Robert Cade, Dana Shires, and Harry James Free. The drink was created for the University of Florida’s football team and named after the school’s mascot, the Gator. The drink was first put on the scene in 1967 when the Florida Gators beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Orange Bowl. The coach of the Yellow Jackets, Bud Carson, commented on the drink saying that, “We didn’t have Gatorade. That made the difference.” That was the first time the company was put in the public eye. Gatorade, since, has taken off and reached epic heights as a sport drink.
The drink has made a ton of sales since the company took their product to the public. The positioning of the product has been immense. It is the drink to have when you’re playing sports and competing with others. I think that Gatorade has been one of the best positioned products in recent years.  The positioning of Gatorade was a very intelligent decision because you put the product out as being something for people to think they need in order to have the energy they need, and that gets people to come and buy the product in large numbers.
Gatorade was recently in its highest point of sales, marketing deals, and partnerships. The success of this product caused people to invest in the company to earn money. The advertising for Gatorade was at its peak.
