Problem Solution: Global Communications
    Global Communications (GC) confronted many issues since the decline of business in the telecommunications industry. The senior leadership team had to come together and make important decisions regarding the future of their organization. This was not an easy decision as they had to try to do what was best for the company as well as for the employees.
    GC recently had some criticism for cutting benefits for health and education which resulted in negative feedback from their employees and the Technologies Workers Union.  The decision to outsource some of their call centers to other countries would result in a large number of lay offs as well as relocations and would likely not be well received by their workers or the union. The manner in which GC handled this situation was not up to par with how they could have handled it. There was a problem with communication as well as conflict and this will be seen in the examples set forth below.

The telecommunications industry has faced an increase in competition. Long distance, wireless and local services have been the topic of discussion and stress for many companies. Global Communications is not exempt from this problem and it has caused great concern within their organization.
