I hope that everyone has had an opportunity to read the letter from David Spencer dated February 22, 2005, announcing that InterClean, Inc. has officially acquired Enviro Tech, which was one of the company’s major competitors (University of Phoenix). This is a very exciting time for the company and it coincides with the same time David Spencer planned on implementing his new strategic plan to offer full service solutions packages. The combined expertise and resources from both companies are expected to have a significant impact on future projections, and InterClean can also move closer towards domestic market dominance. During the next few months the merging of employees will be taking place in addition to realigning our organizational structure around the new vision (University of Phoenix). Although this is a terrific opportunity for InterClean, Inc. and their employees, I can understand some people may feel a bit apprehensive at this point. I wanted to take this opportunity to ensure everyone I will share any information that I can, and I also wanted to stress the importance of exhibiting exemplary management behavior as it pertains to productivity, employment laws, and a diverse work environment for the continued success of InterClean, Inc.
The first item I would like to discuss is the impact a manager’s behavior can have on productivity. Effective management can drive improvements on productivity which benefits our organization and InterClean’s employees.
