2.1 Brief Background
Huffman trucking was founded in 1936 by K. Huffman in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Huffman started the company in 1936 with a single tractor trailer. By 1945 Huffman’s fleet increases to 16 tractors and 36 trailers and today Huffman trucking owns and operates 800 road tractors, 2,100 45' trailers, with facilities in: Cleveland, OH; Los Angeles, CA; St. Louis, MO and Bayonne NJ. Huffman employees 1350 workers, 925 of them drivers and 425 support personnel. Huffman trucking has a diverse customer base including the U.S. Government. (Huffman Trucking History)

2.2.1 Which parts are legally compliant?
Everything under the Personal Information section is in compliance. Nothing that is asked is anything that will get them in trouble with the labor department. They are asking all strait forwards questions, name, address, and phone number etc. for instance they ask “Are you available to work in the United States? That is the correct way to ask this question, if the question would have been phrased as “Are you a U.S. citizen? Where were you or your parents born? These questions would have been illegal because they could have been construed as trying to establish a nationality. (www.usatoday.com)

The parts that are not legally compliant are under education question, it is illegal to ask “When did you graduate from high school/college?” this may be used to establish a person’s age. It is better to phrase the question in such a way as not to make it appear as i ...
