The way philosophy has impacted Christianity is by creating some of the biggest philosophical movements that are known to mankind today. Movements that have occurred such as existentialism, postmodernism and naturalism are replies towards Christianity, in which is another way to show the world of today’s society can find other meanings and reasons instead of using Christianity, or any other type of religion that may be known to man. In philosophy and Christianity ethics has the ability to take up an enormous role. The role that ethics currently plays in today’s modern society is it acts as a base for all civil laws and morality. Even though much of these’s laws have vanished, over the years there still remains somewhat of a foundation in the western world for moral laws. Using every thought in to submission and imprisoned within one’s self is what was required for Christians, which should raise questions to those who may think that this justifies any belief if forced upon others. Christianity was practiced with a portion of the population in the Roman Empire. In the first century of A.D. there happen to be many Greeks who have learned much as knowledge as they possibly could of Christ. The letter of Paul to the Ephesians and Corinthians, along with the preaching’s to Athenians were intended for the Greek Empire. Philosophy was produced through the Greek empire, in which had been defeated by the Roman Empire round 350 B.C. and since both Roman and Greek were combined this illustrated a threat towards the belief of Judaism.
