Harrison-Keyes has issues related to its project implementation strategy. In benchmarking companies that have faced the same issues, Harrison-Keyes can find solutions to resolving its problem. The companies identified are Barnes and Noble, ZF Friedrichshafen, Blockbuster, Dell, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Sony Corporation, and Sears Holding Company. The response by these companies to the issues will provide a guideline for Harrison-Keyes. The company also needs to consider the strategic management process, the organizational culture, project scope and project portfolio management tool to ensure a successful and profitable business.
Harrison-Keyes needs to consider strategic management and organizational culture in selecting a solution. The strategic management process allows the organization to assess alternative solutions and decide which would be the best project implementation and how the organization will use its resources to implement projects and what the expected end result will be. "Organizational culture refers to a system of shared norms, beliefs, values, and assumptions which binds people together, thereby creating shared meanings. Culture is also one of the defining aspects of an organization that sets it apart from other organizations even in the same industry." (Gray and Larson, 2006, p. 73).
Also, Harrison-Keyes needs to focus on their project scope to ensure success of the e-books publishing project.  The project scope keeps the company inline as to what the end result is going to be.
