Introduction
    The Gene One Scenario places several issues to the forefront in the immediate consequences and ramifications of making itself into a publicly held company.  Issues related to this overarching goal include needed changes in several areas of the company in terms of organizational design, organizational structure and culture, conflict management, team building and interaction, and change management (University of Phoenix, 2007).
 Google
    Google has become an industry leader and a model of innovation by creating a functioning culture which thrives by the creative input of their employees and also by maintaining an organizational structure which fosters the production of novel ideas into useful products for market.  The company’s successes have been so far-reaching and pervasive that the company has become the object of the curious scrutiny of academics and investors as they attempt to synthesize what the key components of the company’s success in regard to organizational structure and culture (Iyer & Davenport, 2008).   
    In their article which praises that company as an “innovation machine”, Iyer and Davenport attempt to reverse engineer the company to determine what makes it more successful at harnessing the creative energies of its employees, giving that creativity a productive voice, and structuring so that innovations can be monetized effectively without stifling the creative process.  This is relevant ...
