Educational Background
Mr. Donny Pramono Ijaya, the CEO of Sour Sally obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting in Pennsylvania State University in 2005. Upon graduation, he worked in an accounting firm as tax rebate specialist. However, while working in the accounting firm, he always felt that the work was not right for him. Being more of a people’s person himself, being tied up in the office working behind a desk, Mr. Ijaya found no motivation doing his job. Soon having to go to work every day became a dreadful routine for him and so after a year he decided to quit his job. He then decided to instead pursue his Master of Business Administration in University of California in Los Angeles specializing in Marketing. He completed his degree in 2007.

Family Background
Mr. Ijaya’s parents have been in retail business for over 30 years managing supermarkets. Ever since he was in junior high, Mr. Ijaya had shown strong desire to learn and help his parents in managing their retail business. As their supermarket grew in size, his parents often found themselves unable to cope with the amount of work they have to carry out to keep their family-owned supermarkets running efficiently. Hence when Mr. Ijaya began showing interest in helping out his parents in their retail business, they were more than willing to let him assume some of the responsibility of managing the business. As result, ever since he was young, Mr. Ijaya had been exposed with the different pieces and puzzles of the world of business.
