129. What is the textual/translation question in 52:15a?
In verse 15 the point of the comparison is this: As astonishing as would be his humiliation, so astonishing would be his exaltation (as described in v. 15). Sprinkle is still the best attested rendering of this frequently occurring word, although some have preferred to translate "startle" (which would then be the only occurrence of that meaning for this root in the OT).
