Barriers to Communication  Communication can only take place if the person understands what the speaker is talking about. The receiver doesn’t have to agree with the message but as long the receiver understand what the speaker is talking about.  To communicate effectively barriers should be made e.g. for an audience to hear, they should speak loud and clear and the message given must be understandable.  Distractions  When someone is giving a speech it is important that the speaker isn’t distracted. This is important because if the speaker is being distracted then the message that is given out might not make sense to the audience.  Distractions such as listeners speaking loudly and interrupting the speaker are the most common distractions. However the speaker should not get distracted by these.  Concentration Levels  It is important that the speaker always has the audience at his/her hands. The length of the conversation to the audience has to be enough to meet the types of audience such as:    Adults       Children       ICT Practitioners      The audience can take little information at a time therefore there should be some humour to get the audience interested.
