Decisions in paradise: Part II
Introduction
As it was discussed in the previous paper, “Decisions in paradise: Part I”, our company was looking at establishing a greater presence in Kava which is small island country in the South Pacific. Kava has been plagued with unfortunate circumstances that have brought about one disaster after another. This first paper, we also have addressed about problem identification.
Providing a model to address the issues at hand is the focus of this paper inclusive of a decision making techniques and a proposed model for a solution to make a better presence in Kava. I would like to begin with describing the decision-making model and how it was used to help solidify the conclusion in proposing the solution.
Decision making technique
    “Under stress, our ability to perceive an alternative solution to a problem diminishes our capacity to search for relevant information to aid our decision making is impaired” (Goodpaster and Kirby, 2007, pg. 45-46). Decision making is important for our organization and there are many tools and techniques that can apply when making choices on decisions and alternatives. As I stated in the first paper, the Dr. Timmons decision making model is being used to determine a solution to the issues and obstacles in the way of our company’s expansion in Kava. An element of this model is to identify the most significant problem.
