Management Delegation

Abstract
Delegation is an important function within an organization and more importantly, for the management of that company. Delegation is positive for the company, managers, and general staff for many reasons. Delegation encourages teamwork within departments and between a manager and his or her subordinates. When a manager delegates work and responsibility, he or she will involve and encourage more interaction amongst the employees and the department as a whole. To illustrate how the managers within my organization use delegation, I will explain how often employees work together when it comes to the operational improvement process.

Management Delegation
    Delegation is present within my organization at every level of management, from the executives in the corporate office to the front-line management and front-line leaders in the business unit. As it relates to the four functions on management namely, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, delegating is used at various levels for different reasons. Of course, this is all dependent upon each manager or executive and how he or she operates in his or her position. This also depends greatly on the circumstances in each situation whether a manager will delegate part of his or her work load, assignment, or project, or not.
    Management in the corporate office is at the beginning stages of the planning. They come up with company goals and agenda, planning and delegating begins with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
