In chapter first we find out basic things of marketing like why marketing is important, scope of marketing , 4ps of marketing fundamental marketing concepts like production concept, product concept, selling concept etc. task which are necessary for successful marketing .we learn all about marketing. Marketing is a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in way that benefit the organization and its share holders. Marketing is find out the need and wants of customer and full fill them.
Marketers are involved in marketing many types of entities like goods, sevices, events, experiences, persons, places, properties, organization, information and ideas. They also oprate in four different market places consumer markets, business markets , global markets nonprofit and governmental markets these are called key customer markets.
Marketing is not done only by the marketing department. Marketing needs to affect every aspect of customer experiences. Today’s marketplaces is fundamentally different as a result of major societal forces that have resulted in many new consumer and company capabilities. These forces have created new opportunities and challenges, and marketing management has change significantly in recent years.
