Love me tender please: An episode of a deaf couple

A young lady came to a small shoe-repair shop to take care of her recently bought shoes. She wanted to put back a decoration fallen off from the shoes.

There were a man and wife working in the shop. She immediately noticed that both of them could not talk nor hear. She had to communicate with them by writing down notes.

While the shoe repairman was working on the shoes, the young lady was resting on a couch hearing the music "Love me Tender" coming from an old radio. After the man finished his repair service, his wife sincerely shined the shoes.

When the shoe shining job was over, she gave the shoes back to the young lady. But, her husband appeared to be upset. He was upset because her wife did not put the shoes in a paper bag. The young lady liked the service very much. She also found the price very reasonable.

The young lady was so touched by the service that she called the D.J. of a radio music program. She told him and all the audience about the episode she experienced. She appreciated the wonderful service she received from the deaf husband and wife and requested the song “Love me tender.”
