Riordian Manufacturing is a global plastic producer employing 550 people with projected annual earning of 46 million. Riordan's major customers are automotive parts manufactures, aircraft manufacturers, the Department of Defense, beverage makers and bottlers, and appliance manufacturers. The company has implemented several strategic changes in the way it manufactures and markets its products. Declining sales and uneven profits over the past two years has prompted Riordan to adjust their HR practices and realign them to support the company's strategy, reduce turnover and increase productivity. The company recently conducted an annual employee survey, which showed a decrease in overall job satisfaction, particularly in the areas of compensation and benefits. Riordan Manufacturing faced with these challenges, need to develop a comprehensive approach that address the company's motivation and rewards strategy to motivate, attract, retain, and promote employees throughout the company and used their HR human resource department as a resource to the stakeholders and stockholders instead of a liability that impacts the company's bottom-line.
