The movie “Moses” starts out with the Egyptians killing all the Israelites babies. Moses was born an Israelite so his mom, in hopes to save him, placed him in a basket and put the basket in the river. Moses was found by the Pharaoh’s daughter. And she raised him as her own. So Moses grew up an Egyptian.
As an adult, Moses learned that he was born an Israelite. He was forced to flee Egypt because he killed an Egyptian who was trying to kill his brother Aaron. Moses gets a wife. And while in the desert Moses came across a burning bush, but the bush was not being consumed by the fire. From the bush, Moses hears the voice of God. God tells Moses that he will lead God’s people out of Egypt.
Moses and Aaron, who was also called by God, demanded that Pharaoh let God’s people go. When Pharaoh refused, Moses went out to the River, struck the water with his staff and turned the water to blood. This event was known as the First Plague. No one was able to drink the water of the river.
About a week later Moses went to Pharaoh again demanding that he let God’s people go, and like the first time, Pharaoh refused. Moses sent a plague of frogs all over Egypt. This event was known as the Second Plague. Several more plagues occurred, including locusts, hail, and other bugs. At one point Pharaoh said that Moses and his people could leave but sent out his soldiers and brought all of them back.
Moses went to Pharaoh again asking to let God’s people go, Pharaoh refused. This is when the 10th and final plague occurred. All the first-born sons of the Egyptians were killed. The Israelites all placed lambs blood on their doorposts so that God would pass over their houses. After this plague pharaoh finally let The Israelites go.
