Creating a marketing proposal
Introduction
In this coursework we have been set the task of creating a new marketing proposal for an organization of our choice. I have chosen to use Sainsbury’s for my choice of organization. Sainsbury’s is one of the most successful supermarkets nationwide and is a leading UK retailer. It provides many different product lines and other goods specializing in household items. Sainsbury’s has many markets that it operates in. Its main market is directed at people that our responsible for a household and people that have children to take care of. Sainsbury is trying to appeal to a wide range of markets by stocking up on products that will appeal to nearly everyone. Some of the product ranges Sainsbury’s sell are food and drink, tobacco and alcohol, books/magazines, electrical appliances and a lot more. Sainsbury’s mission statement is, ‘to be the consumer’s first choice for food, delivering products of outstanding quality and great service at a competitive cost through working faster, simpler and together’.
Marketing objectives
One part of the marketing plan that is vital is marketing objectives. Marketing objectives are the basis to which marketing activity revolves around. Marketing revolves around customers and their wants and needs; however it also involves changing and influencing the customer’s behaviour. In order for any business to be successful they have to perform some sort of market research to find out what customers want.
