ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

Organizational Behavior

Introduction
Kudler Fine Foods was started by Kathy Kudler, a woman with a dream; that dream was to provide only the freshest and most unique gourmet foods to the everyday consumer. Kudler Fine Foods wants to stay ahead of the market within their business industry. They can do this by predicting what changes can influence their business industry as well as what adjustments they have to make in order to maintain their position when such events occur that influence the business market. The culture of an organization is very important to its business image. Organizational culture is defined as “a system of shared values, assumptions, beliefs, and norms that unite the members of an organization. Organizational culture reflects employees’ views about the “way things are done around here.” The culture specific to each firm affects how employees feel and act and the type of employee hired and retained by the company. (Gomez- Mejia, 2002)” The leadership of Kudler Foods must instill the core values and beliefs of the company into its employee’s. They can hope to achieve this goal through example and through reinforcement or motivation when the employee meets or exceeds expectations. This paper will examine the business organization of Kudler Fine Foods, the business culture of the company, what internal and external events could influence a change within the business as well as the leadership style of those in a management position.
