Hello Jane,
It is an honor that you have thought of me to assist in determining the root causes of the various problems that all of your departments are facing and I hope in doing so I will be able to, at a minimum, provide some guidance on how to go about resolving them.
The concerns that the superintendents and the plant manager expressed over the low product quality and the increase of production goals that will put additional stress over the production lines in terms of equipment usage as well as increased demands for overtime work from an already exhausted workforce. It is only natural that the absenteeism, resignations, morale, and motivation are affected. I will attempt to address each of these topics to shed some light on the negative effect of each having on the whole organization and addressing them to create a positive change environment.

As you already know absenteeism does cost the organization valuable resource that is finite and scarce. Organizations are in business for profit and anything that will waste any valuable resources, whether it is time or money, has a negative effect on the overall financial performance of the company (George & Jones, 2005, 90). It is true that absenteeism is a behavior that organizations can never fully eliminate but it a behavior that can be controlled and managed (George & Jones, 90).
