Overview Of Management And Operational Management At Kudler’s Fine Foods

Abstract
Kudler’s Fine Food is an upscale specialty food store for gourmets, which stock a wide selection of the freshest ingredients and all tools for a gourmet cook, localized in San Diego metropolitan area in three different stores. KFF plans to start contracting with local growers of organic produce that would take operational changes. The intent of this paper is to identify the primary functions of management, and how the technology and Internet affects this organization, as well as illustrate the five forces from Porter’s Model within the company. Other points shown here would be the identification of business processes, and supply chain affected by the changes related to local growers, and the quality control tools and performance standards used to put those changes in place, ensuring the effectiveness of its operations.
