This paper deals with a holistic approach to problem-solving and solution development.
Over the previous 5 week team United has been studying and discussing the 9 step problem-solving process. Team United will use the 9 step problem -solving process in the study case G C.
GC is experiencing major problems or issues with the advancing technology and the increase in competition. The team will be able to prepare an analytical report covering the issues, identifying the opportunities, stakeholder perspectives, analysis of alternative solution, risk assessment and mitigation techniques, optimal solution implementation plan, and evaluation of results.
The team will create a report to propose a solution to help GC. Team United will develop a plan to solve the problem GC is facing. The development of the plan to solve the problem will be base on the S.M.A.R.T goal system. The S.M.A.R.T goal is specific, measurable, attainable, and realistic, and timely. According to Loo “S.M.A.R.T. goal system is as follow Specific: Do you know exactly what you want to accomplish with all the details? Measurable: Are you able to assess your progress? Attainable: Is your goal within your reach given your current situation? Relevant: Is your goal relevant towards your purpose in life? Time-Sensitive: What is the deadline for completing your goal? (Loo 2008)
