Religion
    I wish Christians would appreciate, understand, and honor the fact the God worshiped and praised in Islam is the same God worshiped and praised in Christianity.  Although there are differences in the beliefs of a Triune God and atonement, both religions, at their roots, worship the same God.  I do not believe most Christians have the basic awareness that Islam acknowledges Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.  The Qur’an has multiple references to Jesus including Surah 3; 5, “He had revealed the Torah and the Gospels before it, a guidance to humankind - and He [it is, Who] has [now] revealed this Criterion [to decide between the right and the wrong in the name of His guidance]” (Translation of Aal Imraan).  I think most Christians would be shocked any references to the aforementioned figures are significant influences in Islam.  Most of my friends are Christian.  Having experienced many conversations regarding religion in my network of acquaintances, most of those people have no idea Jesus is considered a prophet or predecessor in Islam.  I can also state most people in my communication circle have no idea Christianity has deep roots in Judaism, and that just as Christianity has significant influences from Judaism, Islam has significant influences from Judaism and Christianity.
    One aspect of Christianity I wish Muslims would honor is the mystery of the Holy Trinity in Christianity.  If Muslims honored the fact most Christians believed in a triune God I feel a more peaceful attitude and communication would be experienced between the two religions.  Just as the previous paragraph states Christians and Muslim worship the same God, Muslims should realize the same omnipotent God could ha ...
