    Schools, high school, elementary, middle, and even colleges are considered businesses, even though some people would not think so right off the bat. Schools today are becoming a huge factor in the overweight of children; according to most. The consumption of soft drinks in schools is the reason why. Schools are allowing the buying and selling of soft drinks in the cafeterias and the vending machines. Remember when you stood in line and picked up a tray and you had a choice of one of 2 semi-kinds of meats, and then the same went for the so-called vegetables? When you finished paying you walked over and got you milk or chocolate milk, and those were your choices. I may be younger than some but I even remember that until later in my high school days, when things changed. It first started with a add-on of onion rings or fries to the regular lunch, or even candy from the vending machine located out in the lobby. The next thing you know the normal cafeteria line looked like a ghost town, and if you were seen in that area you were so uncool.
    This article is about the business of schools and how aware they should be come about the problem they are causing. Children being overweight has become the most commonly know health issue today, among children. The problem with this is that this disease causes so many other long terms and a healthy adult lifestyle. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes, just to name a few of the complications. The research that has been done to see this transition is extensive.
