Role Model

Being a role model today is just (omit) more that looking up to someone famous. Volunteer work is greatly appreciated and looked up to by many people who don’t necessarily have to participate in. Here (omit) in San Diego through (omit)  my employer California Bank and Trust we all join as a group to collect donations for a cancer, HIV, & (a) Diabetes walk that is held on May 3rd 2008 of this year.
    (this paragraph is too long, it should be broken into several paragraphs) Just like (As with) any other organization, it is planned out every year so that many companies(,) including ourselves work as one to raise money for the very known and good cause that helps many who have no treatment for their disease. California Bank and Trust has many years participating in the campaign called,” City of Hope”. (new paragraph) Compassion was the driving force that led to the founding of City of Hope in 1913. That spirit lives on at City of Hope which today provides help to millions of people who are battling life-threatening diseases.   (sounds like a quote)   The City of Hope walk raises money with many sponsors for a period of months to gain funds for cancer, HIV, & Diabetes awareness. As many people have seen and has been advertised it is represented (wordy)  by the color pink and worn by many as a pink ribbon. Many of the participants are cancer survivors(,) along with their family and friends who join them in the walk that is done at the end of the campaign. The foundation that is talked about in the locations that it is sponsored at (awkward structure) raises awareness for those people who may have not heard or seen any of the campaign and the good it does.
