The “signature experience” is the experience an employee receives at a firm that sets it apart from other firms.  This experience empowers an employee to achieve more, incorporate their values and goals into the firm, and improve employee engagement.  Through the fostering of the “signature experience,” a firm is able to increase employee productivity both in the workplace and through employee-employer relationships.   The “signature experience,” a distinctive element of a firm’s employee experience, creates value for the firm while serving as a symbol of the firm’s culture and values.  
The experience that one receives at a firm makes the difference in everything from day –to-day employee interactions to the initial hiring process.  A firm that gives a potential employee the appearance of having the “signature experience” will most likely win if the employee is picking between companies.  The actual experience is created by everyday, routine process that an organization performs; however, it is how the processes are performed that creates the signature or different experience.  
Research has shown that the “signature experience” does not necessarily correlate with salary, work structure, ant other management functions.  This lack of correlation is the key to understanding how a company allows an employee to achieve a “signature experience” as this shows that uniqueness amongst firms is how the experience is created.  It is the processing of finding the right employees that con ...
