STARBURY RETAILS FOR CHEAP


    Footwear is one of the most essential necessities in everybody’s life. Everywhere you go, you can see all sorts of styles of footwear such as: High, mid, low top sneakers, slip-ons, flats, heels,boots, sandals, etc. Prices vary among these styles. Most famous sneaker brands such as Nike are priced around $55-$200 a pair, sometimes even more depending on the exclusivity of the shoe. Most of the time shoes are ridiculously priced high than what they really are worth.  Two-time NBA all-star Stephon Marbury is opposed by the prices on sneakers and decides to make a sneaker that’s affordable for everybody. Not everybody can afford name brand shoes at high prices.
    The article, Trend-bucking price makes Starbury one stand out, is about the NBA all-star making a shoe that is priced at $15 that makes it affordable for everybody. The shoes are manufactured in China where most brands like Adidas, Nike, and Vans and manufactured at. Basically Marbury and Steve & Barry’s (Collegiate Apparel store) are trying to target a lower market to make shoes affordable for low-income families. They want to let the people know that shoes that are worth $200 are just as comfortable as the Starbury One. One other type of market they are trying to target is the kids which these days can now afford a “descent shoe”.  Instead of having famous athletes wear shoes that are pricey to increase sales Marbury does the opposite and gives the consumer the right price for the quality.
