Executive Summary:
The Pharmacology and Cell Biophysics Department (PCB) aspirations are to recruit high quality research scientists with “a bench to bed-side approach” to lead and complement our efforts on the development of novel therapeutic approaches. These recruitments will aim to strengthen the bridges between basic and clinical research, enhance graduate recruitment and retention, as well as lead to novel technologies for treating Ohioans afflicted with diseases.
In today’s business, managing internal activities and issues of a profit or not-for-profit business is only part of the responsibilities a manager must administer. Another important aspect of running a successful organization is how to implement strategic plan. Strategic planning is more than ensuring an organization will be able to maintain its reserves; it also provides a forecast of where your association expects to be in five years as well as a roadmap of how an institute will get there. Strategic planning is a systematic planning process involving a number of steps that recognizes a current status of the organization (mission statement, vision for the future), operating values, needs (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats), goals, prioritized actions and strategies, action plans, and monitoring plans.
The key to maximize an organization’s probability of being both independent and prosperous over a long-term is to pursue a strategy model that defines the business, the ends it seeks, and the means it will use to accomplish those ends.
