Cases ICT Resources
Introduction
This document contains two case descriptions that are the input for the case classes in the course “ICT Resources”. In this introduction, a description is given of the procedure in the case classes, the products to be delivered and how these will be graded.
Procedure
The groups will be divided into eight teams. Of these eight teams,
- four teams work out the case “K-Bell”,
- four teams work out the case “PostMan”.
The case classes have four sessions:
1. Introduction (week 2)
2. Progress meeting & possibility for questions (week 3)
3. Presentation business goals, information needs and choice of IS (week 4)
4. Presentation on implementation and management of IS (week 6)
In the final two sessions (week 4 and 6), teams present their ideas on the questions at hand. In these sessions, we make a distinction between “consultants” (doing the prepared presentation) and “management teams”, who have to decide which consultants team they would prefer – and why. In week 4, presentations focus on business goals, information needs and the choice of an application or system (Assignment for week 4), whereas in week 6, presentations focus on an analysis of consequences of the chosen application / system and an advice on an implementation strategy. These sessions will have the following structure:
- First hour:
o 2 presentations on K-Bell, 10 min – total 20 min (group 1 & 2)
